In this role you will schedule the flow of production parts to meet daily demand, interpret sales and operational plans, and manage a portfolio of suppliers. You will release orders, issue and manage tenders, lead cost‑saving projects, produce monthly forecasts and reports, and drive improvements in supplier performance and lead times.

- Implement and monitor cost‑saving initiatives.
- Provide monthly supplier forecasts and improve forecasting techniques.
- Generate accurate monthly reports identifying risks and opportunities.
- Drive supplier performance improvements and reduce lead times.
- Analyse stock holdings against excess & obsolete reports.
- Collaborate with suppliers to meet production/quality expectations and reduce costs.
- Manage engineering change pricing, scheduling and implementation.
- Maintain accurate supplier pricing records.
- Support production by attending morning lineside meetings.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and perform related administration.

The position requires at least five years of material planning or purchasing experience, proficiency with SAP, Oracle or similar MRP systems, strong mathematical and analytical abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication. Candidates must be proficient in MS Excel (intermediate) and have a proven record of cost‑saving initiatives and tender management. Desirable qualifications include statistical forecasting skills, experience in an engineering environment and CIPS certification.
- Minimum 5 years material planning/purchasing experience.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle or other MRP systems.
- Strong mathematical, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Intermediate MS Excel and general MS Office proficiency.
- Demonstrated cost‑saving projects and tender experience.
- Desirable: statistical forecasting expertise, engineering environment background, CIPS qualification.
