Intern (Spring 2026) - Dynamic Survey

Description

The Survey Intern is primarily responsible for assisting in land surveying duties. Responsibilities include a variety of technical duties in the areas of surveying, construction, operations, and maintenance in support of surveyors, staff engineers and supervisors. The Survey Intern will assist with obtaining necessary data to complete surveys on behalf of the company.

• Perform survey assignments quickly and accurately.
• Conduct site, boundary, topographic, plot plan, roadway utility, and subdivision surveys.
• Prepare and set up survey files for field crews.
• Record field notes and organize equipment.
• Compute grade sheets.
• Research deeds and filed maps for boundary analysis.
• Produce topographic/as‑built surveys and boundary sketches.
• Draft metes & bounds descriptions.
• Convert and transform project datum.
• Apply independent and critical thinking skills.

Requirements

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma, with a bachelor’s degree in engineering or surveying preferred, and up to two years of surveying experience. Flexibility in daily start times, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate a vehicle are required. Proficiency with AutoCAD, land‑development software, Microsoft Office, and strong communication and critical thinking skills are also essential.

• Hold a high school diploma; bachelor’s in engineering or surveying preferred.
• Possess 0–2 years of surveying experience.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and vehicle operation ability.
• Use AutoCAD and land‑development desktop software.
• Understand field survey operations and construction industry.
• Demonstrate strong technical background.
• Obtain OSHA 10 and OSHA 40 safety training.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
• Exhibit excellent written and oral communication.
