Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Assure that the EPC contractor is adhering to all site safety protocols, HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) plans, and local/national safety regulations.
Coordinate with project team and participate in pre-construction meetings when requested to analyze risk and support project team to effectively identify and plan to mitigate risk.
Provide support and/or oversight to project inspection and contractors on Safe Work Practices.
Foster communication with the workforce to strengthen the importance of EHS objectives, policies and procedures.
Address EHS matters by making recommendations to EPC based on knowledge of company practices and government regulations. If required, research information needs through corporate personnel, trade or government organizations.
Foster a positive open work environment, systems approaches and disciplined execution of all assigned tasks.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of company EHS policies and procedures and applicable regulatory agency regulations, standards and guidelines.
Assist project team and EPC in investigation of all incidents and document properly. Assist in implementation of corrective actions as it relates to the incident.
Monitor EPC Contractor Safety Performance: Vigilantly monitor the EPC contractor's progress against the agreed-upon project Health & Safety execution plan (HASP).
Conduct Pre-Job Safety Briefings and ensure safety control measures are implemented.
Site Safety Oversight; Coordinate and conduct regular work area inspections, assessments, surveys and program evaluations to identify potential hazards and for compliance with all applicable safety and health regulations and contract requirements.

Proven experience working in an owner's representative or oversight role, specifically on projects with third-party EPC contractors.
Required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including a credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.
Knowledge and experience in power plant, oil & gas, LNG, or chemicals industry construction.
Varying working conditions from office settings to working outdoors in inclement weather conditions.
