Under the guidance of a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician C provides preventive maintenance on both diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks. The role requires a basic understanding of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems to perform routine inspections, fluid changes, tire work, and simple electrical repairs. Technicians enjoy working on a single, state‑of‑the‑art fleet, supporting drivers on their routes and servicing some of the most advanced vehicles on the road.
Key duties include conducting vehicle PM inspections, performing oil changes and fluid replenishment, making tire adjustments, and completing minor electrical tasks such as light replacements. Technicians also carry out visual inspections to spot potential issues, use diagnostic tools to pinpoint malfunctions, and follow company‑mandated training programs. Additional tasks are assigned as needed to support overall fleet reliability.
Candidates should have a basic knowledge of vehicle systems; a completed certified diesel maintenance program and ASE certification are advantageous but not mandatory.
