Hands-On Experience, Real Projects – Assistant QS Wanted Near Motherwell
Many of the positions within our company are subject to security clearance. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by various factors. The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain security clearance for this role as required by our clients and sectors.
This role is ideal for someone with early career experience in quantity surveying who’s ready to take on more responsibility in a hands-on, site-based environment. You’ll work closely with experienced QS professionals, contractors, and project teams to support the smooth commercial delivery of live projects.
- Understanding of contract forms (NEC4 experience is a plus)
- Willingness to work on site 3–4 days per week within an hour of Motherwell
- Real variety across procurement, payments, and forecasting
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Experience in construction or engineering commercial processes within sectors that BakerHicks operates in like Life sciences, Defence, Power etc.
- Ability to drive to the site and have a driver's License
