The VP of Corporate Development and Strategy will drive strategic growth initiatives across the platform, including expansionary M&A, optimization of existing assets, evaluation of newbuild opportunities, and advancement of energy projects.

  • Build and maintain relationships with utilities, regulators, permitting authorities, investors, and local stakeholders to advance project timelines and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on corporate strategy, growth initiatives, and capital planning to directly support revenue and capacity expansion.
  • Manage the M&A due diligence process (buy-side and sell-side), including financial modeling, sensitivities, cash flow analysis, and recommendations.
  • Develop technology assessments, market analyses, and scenario planning to guide investment and funding strategies.
  • Represent the company externally with advisors, banks, counterparties, and partners to originate opportunities and strengthen market position.
  • Evaluate new project opportunities across thermal, renewables, storage, and hybrid solutions, ensuring technical and financial viability.

  • Demonstrated success advancing projects from inception through financial close or notice to proceed.
  • Knowledge of U.S. energy markets, ISO/RTO dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
  • 8-12+ years of experience in corporate strategy, M&A, or project investment, ideally with exposure to power and energy infrastructure.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, with established industry contacts advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a power, energy, investment banking, or private equity setting strongly preferred.
  • Proven record managing and closing transactions, with strong expertise in due diligence and financial modeling.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to support both corporate development/M&A and project-level initiatives.
