The IT Portfolio Management Leader is a member of the Portfolio Management Office dedicated to the IT organization, connecting DPR’s corporate strategy to program execution. This role ensures that initiatives are aligned, prioritized, and delivered to support company goals while collaborating with other PMO leaders to provide enterprise‑wide transparency and effective resource allocation.
The leader facilitates the prioritization process, manages intake of new enhancements, and organizes regular alignment meetings within the IT organization. They act as a trusted advisor and liaison for workgroup leaders and stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and clear communication. In partnership with portfolio managers, they develop a structured framework to align initiatives with strategic objectives, define scopes, timelines, budgets, and success metrics, and monitor progress while escalating risks as needed.
They collaborate with other portfolio managers to form a Prioritization Team that coordinates across workgroups, ensuring consistency in governance, reporting tools, and intake protocols. The role also drives change‑management design and execution, helping workgroups adopt new processes and cultivating a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
The leader provides regular updates to workgroup leaders, the PMO, and the Prioritization Subgroup, defines requirements for dashboards and analytics, and ensures consistent communication of process and priority changes to stakeholders.
Candidates must have a strong background in IT program and portfolio management, proven experience building or leading a PMO, and the ability to manage technically complex programs in matrixed environments. Effective communication, facilitation, analytical skills, and preferably PMP, PgMP, or similar certification are required. Success is measured by strategic alignment of initiatives, transparent prioritization, timely execution within scope and budget, high stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement of PMO practices.
