Senior Project Manager/Project Engineer, Land Development & Municipal Engineering

Description

• Build the Land Development and Municipal Engineering practice in the region with the Manager
• Mentor new and existing junior staff
• Oversee design and execution of land development and municipal infrastructure projects, including site developments, upgrades, water resources, watermain, sewage rehabilitation, and road design
• Provide direction to the design team throughout the design process
• Lead multi‑disciplinary teams on major infrastructure projects
• Liaise with municipal, utility, and approval agencies
• Perform site inspections as required
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and client communications
• Apply conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design expertise
• Contribute to RFP, bid, and proposal documents
• Know and apply municipal standards and guidelines

Requirements

• Possess 10+ years of municipal infrastructure experience for public and private sector projects
• Hold an undergraduate civil engineering degree from an accredited university
• Be a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta
• Technologist qualification acceptable with professional certification and stamping ability
• Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset
• Have project management experience on municipal or private sector projects
• Experience with storm, sewer, watermain, and road design
• Familiar with local planning and approval processes
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Experience with southern Alberta municipalities or mountain settings is an asset
