Proficient with the use of reference material resources such as NFPA Link, TechStreet, MadCAD, and Facility Guideline Institution (FGI)
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, required
Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
5 years of experience minimum required, 6 preferred, in the building design consulting industry
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Professional Engineer (PE) License required
Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
Knowledge of Master Specification editing and software such as eSPECS, Building Information Model software, and CTC Revit Add In Tools; Proficiency of Smart Engineering Design Assist (SET) Tools within Revit for electrical calculations, coordination, properties, etc.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
Knowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards.
Access to advanced BIM and electrical design tools
Expertise in designing electrical systems for healthcare markets
Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of principles relating to circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems design for buildings.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
