Work alongside engineers, contractors, and project leadership to address challenges that arise during construction.
Assist with system testing, commissioning checks, and readiness evaluations.
Observe contractor work to confirm adherence to plans, specifications, industry codes, and established standards.
Keep accurate inspection logs, document issues, and communicate progress updates to the project team.
Encourage safe work practices and help maintain a safety-focused job site.
Perform routine field inspections of mechanical components, including pumps, piping, HVAC units, and related systems.
Examine installation practices and system performance to ensure proper functionality.

Strong understanding of pumps, piping systems, HVAC equipment, and general construction methods.
Prior experience in DC Water projects is highly beneficial.
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Knowledge of inspection protocols, QA/QC processes, and reporting standards.
Experience with municipal water systems or pumping operations is a plus.
Background in reviewing or inspecting mechanical work on water facilities or comparable MEP/civil projects.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
