Senior Network Administrator

• Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their value to the organization.
• Ensure security technologies are properly configured and monitored.
• Monitor network performance, system availability, and implement proactive maintenance and optimization strategies.
• Mentor junior staff and provide knowledge transfer to team members.
• Follow standard change control, ticketing, and incident management processes.
• Apply formal project management methodologies to track progress and manage change.
• Design, deploy, and manage wired and wireless network infrastructure at offices and branches.
• Provide regular project updates and documentation to stakeholders.
• Backup solutions and disaster recovery planning for hybrid environments.
• Ensure backup, failover, and disaster recovery systems are in place and tested in alignment with business continuity requirements.
• Administer and support enterprise IT infrastructure including networking, servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
• Identify and assess trends in infrastructure security, architecture, and operations.
• Enforce IT governance through security policies, risk management practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure all incidents and service requests are logged, tracked, and resolved according to SLAs.
• Lead the planning, deployment, and administration of global WAN/LAN network infrastructure including SASE, VPN, SD-WAN, and firewalls.
• Lead and coordinate IT infrastructure projects including cloud migrations, data center upgrades, network expansions, and acquisitions/integration efforts.
• Collaborate with internal business units, global teams, and vendors to define scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and recovery protocols.
• Serve as technical lead for infrastructure and security-related initiatives.
• Provide Level 2 and 3 support and guidance for infrastructure-related incidents and escalations.

• Familiarity with formal project management and stakeholder collaboration methods.
• Deep understanding of IT operations, including ticketing systems, change control, and security best practices.
• Scripting and automation using PowerShell or similar tools.
• Experience managing network connectivity across on-premises, Microsoft Azure, AWS, and other cloud platforms.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with on-prem to cloud migrations and post-merger IT integration is highly valued.
• Skilled in documenting systems and processes for internal knowledge sharing.
• Experience with Windows Server management, patching, and lifecycle support.
• Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS architecture and administration.
• Proficiency with Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions such as Netskope, Zscaler, or Cato Networks.
• Expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, switching, and wireless network management (Fortinet experience is an asset).
• Working knowledge with Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory (Entra), Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), BitLocker, and Autopilot.
• A three-year diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Deep understanding of Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Cisco network solutions.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in network and infrastructure administration, ideally in a global manufacturing or enterprise environment.
• Certifications from Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Fortinet (NSE), and/or Microsoft (Azure Administrator/Architect) are desirable.

The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000. This range represents annual base salary only, without regard to location, and does not include bonus or other incentives or benefits that may apply. The pay range for this role is subject to change.

This is a hybrid position in the Louisville, Kentucky office with a min of 3 days per week office attendance. We’re searching for someone with a preference for in-person collaboration and a knack for enabling others who are under tight deadlines within a complex global company. Flexibility to work from home 1-2 days per week for work life balance and focused project work.
