- Oversee engineering activities during construction and commissioning phases
- Act as a technical point of contact for clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams
- Lead the engineering design and development of onshore wind energy projects
- Review and approve technical deliverables including feasibility studies, design packages, and performance models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, consultants, and contractors
- Provide expert guidance on wind resource assessment, turbine selection, layout optimization, and grid integration
- Contribute to business development by supporting proposals, client presentations, and technical strategy
- Support permitting processes and liaise with authorities on technical matters
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines
- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in engineering practices
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, market trends, and regulatory changes in the wind energy sector
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence

- Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Renewable Energy Engineering
- Proficiency in wind modeling tools (e.g., WindPro, WAsP, OpenWind) and grid analysis software will be an added advantage.
- 12+ years of experience in wind energy project engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of IEC standards, HSE requirements, and project lifecycle management
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale wind projects in global environment. Experience of working on Middle East Projects/Clients will be an added advantage.
