Maintain accurate records of labor, parts, and services in the Computerized Maintenance Management Information System (CMMIS).
Test and verify equipment performance post-repair to ensure operational readiness.
Fabricate or repair hydraulic systems, guards, and attachments based on schematics or blueprints.
Overhaul gas and diesel engines and major components using up-to-date technical resources.
Address issues identified in operator inspection reports and ensure timely resolution to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems specific to asphalt machinery.
Follow manufacturer and company guidelines for servicing and inspections.
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on asphalt equipment such as pavers, rollers, milling machines, and tack distributors.

Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Must be able to work days and nights. Hours vary based on paving schedule.
Ability to lift heavy tools and parts.

Experience using CMMIS or similar systems for tracking maintenance.
Valid NC driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not mandatory.
Strong diagnostic skills for gas/diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Frequent standing, bending, and kneeling.
Proven experience servicing asphalt equipment in a field or heavy equipment mechanic role.
