Perform and review the work for the integration of complex substation systems and devices, including protective relays, RTACs (Real-Time Automation Controllers), and communication networks.
Assist others in obtaining up-to-date knowledge and ensure adherence to relevant industry standards and safety regulations, including NERC CIP.
Lead testing and mentor junior team members to troubleshoot electrical control systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
Advanced knowledge of implementing Automatic Voltage Regulation Schemes including setpoint, power factor, and voltage control.
Must have the ability to travel across the United States and Canada.
Advanced experience with PLC programming and HMI design. Efficiency in more than one programming language (Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, or Structured Text).
Strong ability to mentor others in a technical field.

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Advanced knowledge and understanding of 3-phase power generation control principles.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity in industrial control systems.
Advanced experience in Inductive Automation's Ignition platform.
Advanced understanding of common industrial communications protocols including ModbusTCP and/or DNP3.
Knowledge and understanding of voltage regulation concepts and ISO specific requirements.
Advanced experience interpreting electrical schematics, including single-line diagrams and P&C drawings.
Strong experience tuning PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) control loops.
Advanced experience with more than one PLC platform (e.g. Schneider Electric, SEL RTAC, Allen Bradley).
Advanced ability to read, interpret, and implement Power Purchase Agreements and LGIAs and translate into control schemes.
Advanced experience applying electrical systems, control systems, and automation concepts.
Advanced experience with HMI design, development, and commissioning.
Strong understanding and proven application of electrical schematics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willing to travel 25-35% of the time.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a closely related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered in place of a degree.
Advanced experience with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems and related technologies.
