The Lead Engineer will supply specialized technical input to substation studies and designs, develop procedures that promote cost‑effective, high‑quality work, and take part in interdisciplinary reviews of deliverables. Additional duties include preparing construction and effort cost estimates, conducting quality‑control reviews of calculations and drawings, drafting technical specification sections, and assisting in the creation of engineering budgets and schedules.

Candidates should possess 8–12 years of relevant experience, preferably leading large design engineering teams on grid substation projects. Required expertise includes HV plant design for large EHV substations, familiarity with grid utilities, knowledge of international standards such as IEC and IEEE, and exposure to GIS/AIS primary design. Chartered Engineer or Fellow status with the IET (or equivalent) and strong English communication skills are also essential.
- 8–12 years of experience, preferably leading large design engineering teams.
- Proven HV plant design experience for large EHV grid substations.
- Experience working with grid utilities such as National Grid, Transgrid, or Powergrid.
- Knowledge of international standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, Australian, Middle East codes).
- Exposure to GIS and AIS primary design for EHV substations.
- Chartered Engineer or Fellow of IET (or equivalent professional chartership).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
