Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Description

The Machine Operator in Department 44 is responsible for setting up and operating simpler machines, performing assembly, drilling, tapping, grinding, painting, and handwork.

The role requires interpreting manufacturing prints and work orders, performing quality checks, maintaining coolant levels, changing tooling, wearing appropriate PPE, and completing required documentation.

• Operate hand tools, paint line, tap and thread machines as required.
• Perform and document all quality checks on any machine in the department.
• Check, record, and adjust coolant concentrations; change or replace tooling.
• Wear proper personal protective equipment for assigned machines.
• Interpret manufacturing prints and work order packets.
• Perform basic CMBIS transactions.
• Interpret drawings and work order packets to set up equipment and run acceptable products.
• Troubleshoot and correct minor problems in the work center.

Requirements

Candidates must have experience reading ABC prints, detailed machine‑operation training, ability to lift up to 40 lb, and basic CMBIS transaction skills.

• Complete required work‑center forms.
• Sharpen chasers.
• Possess equivalent experience with training in ABC print and work order reading and measurement techniques.
• Have detailed training in machine operation.
• Safely lift, lower, push, or pull up to 40 lb.
