The Senior Vice President, Community Management is accountable for the overall success, scalability, and performance of the division, partnering closely with executive leadership to execute the company vision, drive revenue growth, improve operational efficiency, and ensure an exceptional client experience in all markets. The role leads Vice Presidents and General Managers of Community Association Management (CAM), ensuring alignment, accountability, and consistent execution of divisional initiatives.
As the executive leader of the CAM division, the SVP reports directly to the Management Company President, provides insight and performance updates to the executive team, and reinforces company vision, culture, and values. They identify opportunities to enhance, retool, and scale community management products and services to meet evolving market and client needs.
The SVP drives predictable, recurring revenue by optimizing management contracts, balancing client expectations with profitability, and partnering with Sales & Marketing to develop new programs that expand market share. They also support differentiated services that create win-win-win outcomes for clients, employees, and the organization.
Responsibilities include continuously assessing and enhancing service delivery models, staffing structures, and operational workflows to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and clear differentiation in the marketplace. The SVP oversees operational performance, load utilization, and profitability across regions, establishing standardized policies and reporting.
To improve customer retention, the SVP collaborates with the Vice President of Client Success, using NPS data, client feedback, and performance metrics to refine service delivery and loyalty. They work with General Managers on retention strategies and serve as the final escalation point for division leaders.
Financial leadership duties involve reviewing budgets, financial projections, and performance metrics, approving expenses, and collaborating with the VP of CAM Accounting to ensure accurate community financials. The SVP assists the MCP and CFO with department budgeting, forecasting, and identifying new revenue streams.
People leadership includes directly leading and developing Vice Presidents and General Managers, assigning strategic initiatives, and ensuring follow-through. The SVP promotes cross-training, best-practice sharing, and a customer-centric, accountable culture through regular divisional meetings and development policies.
Required qualifications are a bachelor’s degree, proven senior executive experience with operational growth success, strong financial acumen, a creative and solutions-oriented mindset, high comfort with technology platforms, and excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Preferred qualifications include multi-state operational experience, background in system implementation, and CAI designations such as CMCA, AMS, or PCAM.
