Reporting to the R&D Technician Supervisor, the onsite role in Everett, WA supports bringing the most powerful controlled pulsed‑fusion device online to generate electricity, applying hands‑on experience to novel engineering challenges on a fast‑moving multidisciplinary team.
Applicants need 5+ years of advanced electrical or mechanical technician experience in rapid‑prototyping or research labs, comfort working in confined spaces, ability to lift 20 lb, and proven skills in fabrication, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, PCB soldering to IPC standards, and reading technical drawings. Preferred experience includes high‑voltage, laser, vacuum or cryogenic systems and certifications for elevated work platforms, fall protection, forklift or crane operation, with a willingness to work a swing‑shift schedule.
Compensation is a non‑exempt hourly rate of $45–$60 USD, complemented by competitive equity grants and comprehensive benefits such as medical/dental/vision coverage, 31 days PTO, paid holidays, up to 5 % 401(k) match, disability and life insurance, parental leave up to 16 weeks, and a wellness stipend.
