Read and interpret documents such as work plans, operating and maintenance instructions/manuals, and procedure manuals.

Work under the direction of Mid- to Senior-level Staff to respond promptly and professionally to urgent client needs in both Emergency Response and planned response events.
Work under the direction of Project Managers and execute work in accordance with the budget agreed upon for the scope of work and schedule with minimal to modest supervision.
Evaluating the physical space of an Emergency Response event for actual or potential pathways of contaminant migration (e.g., storm drains, utility infrastructure, streams and other surface water bodies, etc.) and rapidly evaluating and implementing actions to prevent contaminant migration (e.g., deploying spill kits, working with remediation contractors to mobilize and deploy effective measures, etc.).
For planned response events, preparing for associated client-driven work activities, e.g., planning for field work, contributing to the development of work plans, and coordinating with subcontractors and clients as outlined by Project Managers.
Prepare clear and accurate records of field work performed such as in-field analysis of soil and other environmental media; site sketches/drawings; annotated photographs, etc. via mobile electronic devices and applications (e.g., smart phones, tablets).
Conduct routine groundwater monitoring.
Requires participation in a scheduled team rotation of 7-day 24-hour (Friday 7 AM to Friday 7 AM) on-call support (established on a six-month team calendar). The frequency of scheduled 7-day/24-hour cycles may vary.
Coordinate with vendors, including analytical laboratories and on-site contractors.
Follow TRC’s safety, quality, and project management programs.
Help install, operate, and maintain remediation systems, and inspect equipment and materials for defects and troubleshooting as necessary. Clean and calibrate equipment and instrumentation.
Read and interpret results of sampling/monitoring.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to meet project goals and address urgent client needs.

A mechanical aptitude and ability to use tools to advance the objectives of field project assignments.
Qualified candidates must be comfortable with periodic regional travel and client support.
Ability to maintain and/or repair mechanical equipment, such as pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems.
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification (with applicable refresher certification) is a plus.
30-hour OSHA Construction Safety certification is also a plus.
Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
Technical School Diploma and/or associate’s degree in a course of study aligned with the outlined job responsibilities.
Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
Experience in Microsoft Office, including MS Word and Excel. Experience in mobile data collection is also preferred.
Willing to travel at least 25-50% of the time.

Reliable, dependable, and reports to work on a consistent basis.
Expect and adapt to diverse work assignments often running simultaneously and at different stages and paces.
Class-D driver’s license with good driving record.
