  • Modify systems to be environmentally friendly
  • Repair or replace faulty components

  • Responsible for all required electrical qualification tests on projects and ensure compliance with all outside parties involved
  • Update older electrical systems for changes, cost reductions, improvements, safety, and quality control
  • Maintain and repair electronic and pneumatic instrumentation.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot various types of switches, meters, indicators, temperature sensors, positioners, controllers, control valves, and DCS loops
  • Work with builders and make recommendations
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to determine the best placement of electrical wiring
  • Repair broken equipment and wiring
  • Use test equipment and perform routine calibrations
  • Perform repetitive movements over long periods of time
  • Identify, test and troubleshoot internal hardware
  • Perform calibrations for wire placement and electronic components
  • Test devices for improvement, safety, and quality control
  • Participate in test runs and meet safety regulations
  • Be aware of and participate in Management of Change (MOC) activities
  • Lift, position, push, and/or transfer equipment and materials
  • Perform and analyze tests to track results and make improvements
  • Remove and repair, install and calibrate various transmitters and hart communication

  • Must be able to respond to callouts including weekends, and holidays that requires reliable attendance
  • A strong understanding of various types of analyzer instruments and their operation .
  • IBEW or trade school in electrical / instrumentation certification
  • Must be able to climb ladders and or stairs on tanks, vessels and structures; wear respirator; work around equipment containing high pressures and temperatures and various chemicals
  • Working knowledge of control valves; MOV
  • Must be able to pass a physical test of pushing, pulling, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Able to take initiative to recommend projects, product improvements, or cost reductions
  • Strong mathematical and technical skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with Honeywell or similar DCS controls, analytical monitors for CEM (Continuous Emission Monitoring)
  • High school / GED minimum; Associates degree or higher
  • Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal property and safety regulations
  • Advanced in Chromatograph Interpretation
  • Working knowledge of CEMS, PLCs and Honeywell DCS experience a plus
  • Must be able to climb a minimum 30 foot ladder
  • Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects
  • Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring equipment and materials
  • 6+ years experience in refinery environment
  • Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, and wiring schematics.
  • Exposed to moving parts and electricity that require safety protocols
  • Demonstrate knowledge of flow, pressure, temperature, level instrumentation, and control power systems
  • Understanding of Continuous Emissions Monitoring process.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Ability to train Level I and II Instrumentation Techs
  • Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • In-depth understanding of electrical regulations, construction, materials, and industry
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Frequent reaching, stooping, twisting, bending, kneeling, crawling, and crouching
  • 6+ years experience as a Analyzer Technician
  • Possess advanced knowledge of instrumentation math, units variables, and dimensions of measurement
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, and wiring schematics
  • Able to Calibrate and Make Necessary Changes to GC
