  • Support equipment procurement, technical evaluation of vendor solutions, and participate in FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) as necessary.
  • Design and develop hardware-related documentation for CBTC projects, including:
  • Conduct power consumption and load calculations to support the design and validation of the electrical architecture.
  • Assist during integration, testing, and commissioning phases by resolving technical issues and providing on-site or remote support as needed.
  • Bonding Plans (track circuit design and interface with trackwork and traction for safety and EMC compliance)
  • Develop and review technical specifications for all equipment to be supplied (e.g., power supplies, field cabinets, junction boxes, etc.).
  • Engage in technical discussions with the customer, providing expertise and ensuring that hardware designs align with contractual and operational requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering templates, tools, and internal processes.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering and Project Managers to plan, track, and deliver hardware deliverables according to project schedules and milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant railway and electrical standards (e.g., EN 50126/50128/50129, IEC 61375, IEC 60204).
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Systems, RAMS, Installation, etc.) to ensure designs meet all functional, safety, and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong command of AutoCAD/Microstation, or similar tools for generating electrical schematics and single line diagrams.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal); additional languages are an asset.
  • Power Distribution Panel (PDP) Single Line Diagrams for station-level or wayside electrical systems
  • Knowledge and experience in developing PDP single line diagrams and performing system-level power calculations.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven experience in customer-facing technical discussions and documentation review cycles.
  • Familiarity with CBTC systems, automation principles specific to GoA 4 solutions as well as understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and surge protection in power systems.
  • is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of rail-specific equipment qualification and certification processes is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
  • Strong understanding of wiring, grounding, and bonding practices relevant to railway environments.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hardware design within the railway, transportation, or other safety-critical industries. Experience working in international or large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
