Tasks
-Serve as a resource for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the client company-wide initiatives. -Initiate and/or participate in safety kick-off, periodic or daily safety meetings with contractors. -Manage the receipt, review, provide feedback for contractor safety related documents (e.g. Programmatic Safety Plans, Project Specific Safety Plans [PSSPs], Job Safety Analyses [JSAs], Field Safety Observations). -Lead and/or participate in safety incident investigations, root cause evaluations, etc. -Function as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Federal, State, and local laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances including, but not limited to, DOT, EPA, OSHA, Cal/OSHA and CPUC. -Support compliance with applicable programs (respirator, hearing, ergonomics). -Share safety information to all in an impactful, constructive, and results-oriented manner. -Provide on-site occupational safety support to identify, prevent, and mitigate safety risks. -Deliver training to support the communication of established processes or procedure requirements to stakeholders. -Document and retain safety documents in accordance with client requirements. -Perform Field Safety Observations as established by the frequency and level for each contractor and subcontractor in accordance with the SSSP/PSP. -Communicate safety trends and recommends safety corrective actions. -Take direction from client Supervisors and Management responsible for Contractor Safety. -Inspect site activities specifically during the kick-off and implementation of medium and high-risk scope activities. -Assign and/or coordinate with team members to address corrective actions and communicate as appropriate with team members to prevent repeat occurrences. -Utilize safety trend analysis to identify and mitigate actions to correct gaps, introduce and implement innovative solutions with impact to correct gaps, and communicate opportunities for improvement.

What You Bring
-Must be comfortable working in remote / rural areas -Has formal training to identify and mitigate hazards associated with specific high-risk activities. -Must have a valid Driver’s License and a personal vehicle -High School Diploma required -Familiar with managing contractor safety for operations. -Required to have taken OSHA 30-hour -Demonstrated ability to provide detailed regulatory interpretation of federal and state OSHA regulations -Has training, knowledge, or experience related to the work to be performed and knowledge of the appropriate mitigation measures for the associated hazards. -CHST, CSP, ASP, or other safety certifications are highly desired -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -Familiar with Cal/OSHA safety regulations and requirements. -Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical safety with a preference in the construction or utility industries -Physical demands required for the successful performance of this job include standing and/or walking for long hours in a day in uneven and steep terrain, and possibly during variable weather conditions -Capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions that are unsanitary or dangerous.
