What you would be doing

- Perform month end close activities including AP accruals, resolving Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt discrepancies, etc
- Ensure vendor banking is kept up to date in SAP
- Communicate with vendors and internal customers on accounts payable discrepancies and issues
- Perform daily and weekly account reconciliations for utilities and autopay vendors to ensure all accounts are balanced and clean
- Miscellaneous special projects including escheatment process, outstanding checks clean-up, landowner payment support, and providing 1099 process assistance
- Maintains process documentations
- Assisting in weekly payment runs and manual wire review
- Perform other AP analysis and tasks as required
- Assist in setting up new or existing utilities accounts on autopayment
- Verify and post invoices and payment requests to SAP within established time standards
- Request new vendor set up in SAP

- SAP experience is strongly preferred
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other related discipline preferred
- Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
- Basic knowledge of principles, practices, regulations, and procedures relating to accounts payable.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in the finance area is preferred, with an emphasis on candidates who have successfully performed account reconciliations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
- Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
