In this role the educator leads the design and delivery of innovative, inclusive programs for audiences of all ages, with a special emphasis on children from birth to age six and their families. The position supports a growing portfolio of multigenerational and youth initiatives, cultivates collaborations with community partners, and champions joyful learning, accessibility, and community connection through art, architecture, and nature. Flexibility to work evenings, holidays, and weekends is essential.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field, at least two years of experience creating educational programs, and strong planning, organizational, and communication skills. Knowledge of visual arts, museum pedagogy, and inclusive practices is preferred, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn tools such as Asana and Canva are required. A good sense of humor, calm demeanor under pressure, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.
The position involves regular computer and telephone use, occasional lifting of up to 20 lb, and frequent movement throughout galleries, classrooms, outdoor trails, and community sites. Work may occur in office settings, museum spaces, schools, and outdoors, and may include evenings, weekends, and travel in varying weather conditions.
