Provide technical guidance and coordinate the work of engineers and designers to support project delivery.
Serve as a technical lead on projects, responsible for the quality and completeness of assigned deliverables.
Perform auxiliary power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, protection and coordination, ampacity, and battery sizing.
Coordinate with other disciplines and departments to support integrated project execution.
Ensure proper document control and adherence to established document management procedures.
Travel to project sites as needed to perform site walkdowns and field verification.
Lead substation physical design efforts, including overall engineering and analysis for new substations and switchyards, as well as additions and modifications.
Prepare technical specifications and provide procurement support.
Communicate effectively with internal project teams, project management, and external clients.
Support proposal development, including scope input, estimates, and participation in client presentations.
Ensure deliverables meet Worley and client quality standards, applicable codes, and project procedures.
Develop engineering drawings for high-voltage substations and switchyards, including site plans, layouts, elevations, grounding, conduit, lighting, lightning protection and shielding, control buildings, AC station service, DC systems, and bills of material.
Conduct engineering calculations and studies related to grounding, lightning protection, insulation coordination, lighting, bus systems, transformers, fault levels, and AC/DC auxiliary systems.
Participate in technical reviews, audits, and independent assessments of engineering work.

Experience in a technical leadership or lead engineer role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to support collaboration with engineers, designers, clients, and project stakeholders.
Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and awareness of related engineering disciplines.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States or the ability to obtain licensure prior to the first day of employment.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Collaborate effectively in a team environment while also managing work independently as required.
Experience supporting project cost estimates and proposal development.
Working knowledge of applicable industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
12 or more years of experience in substation engineering.
Experience working on multidisciplinary project teams.
Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, accurate, and timely engineering work.
Proficiency with electrical engineering software and standard business applications (e.g., MS Office).
