Under limited supervision, the Pipeline Department Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day supervision of the department that installs and maintains water and sewer service connections, pipelines, and appurtenances, while providing guidance to subordinate staff and ensuring work complies with BJWSA, state, federal and other regulatory standards.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to satisfy each essential duty, with reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
The position requires a valid Real ID‑compliant Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a tanker endorsement, and the successful candidate must obtain South Carolina Water Distribution Operator Level A and Wastewater Collection System Operator Level A licenses within two years, as well as a Department of Defense ID within six months.
