Description

The planning engineer ensures effective project planning, scheduling, and monitoring to achieve timely and efficient delivery. The role involves collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to keep projects within scope, budget, and time constraints.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using planning software.
• Monitor schedule progress, identify critical‑path activities and potential delays.
• Coordinate resource allocation and ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to protect timelines.
• Prepare regular progress reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Assess change requests, evaluate scope impact, and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Ensure schedules align with quality and safety standards, supporting quality control teams.
• Collaborate with finance to monitor costs, forecast budgets, and track expenses.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and propose process improvements in planning and execution.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field, and have 5–7 years of project planning and scheduling experience, preferably in joinery, fit‑out, or construction. Proficiency with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, knowledge of construction methods, strong analytical and communication skills are required; PMP certification is a plus.
