Description

As the Service Manager, you will lead the Service team and ensure the property remains in tip‑top condition through a passion for quality appearance and proactive maintenance and repairs. You will mentor a crew of skilled technicians, solve maintenance challenges, and communicate effectively to keep operations running smoothly.

The Service Manager oversees daily maintenance operations, collaborates with Property Managers on property needs and escalations, and partners with Regional Service Managers on larger capital projects. This position ensures work orders are completed efficiently, maintains high standards for property quality, and supports operational goals while adhering to Mission Rock’s standards.

• Lead and mentor a crew of skilled technicians
• Oversee general maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, exterior structures, pools, and snow removal
• Collaborate with Property Manager to ensure apartment turns meet Mission Rock standards
• Manage purchase orders to meet budget goals
• Plan work schedules, delegate workloads, and monitor workflow

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings strong customer service and communication skills, proven leadership ability, and solid organizational and time‑management capabilities. Required qualifications include HVAC and CPO certifications, 3‑5 years of multi‑family maintenance experience, knowledge of fair housing practices, a valid driver’s license, and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Demonstrate effective communication (emails, phone, text, in‑person) per MRR T.R.U.S.T.
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Proven ability to positively lead and develop a team
• HVAC certification (required)
• CPO certification (required)
• 3‑5 years multi‑family maintenance experience
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
• Basic computer skills, Microsoft Suite familiarity
