IT Infrastructure Manager

Description

• Manage infrastructure health, performance, patching, capacity, and availability
• Ensure Datacenter Redundancy
• Managing a team of employees to align their efforts with company goals by focusing on the team's performance, well-being, and development. This includes tasks like assigning work, providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring, as well as conflict resolution, and creating a positive work environment. Ultimately, their goal is to motivate the team, foster growth, and ensure overall productivity and success.
• Guide and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical direction and development opportunities
• Ensure efficiency in the Datacenter
• Collaborate with IT security to enforce hardening standards and ensure compliance
• Serve as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues and guide resolution hands-on
• Manage incidents in relating to Datacenter
• Manage Troubleshooting Procedures
• Drive continuous improvement in reliability, scalability, and efficiency of systems
• Lead and directly contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of core infrastructure systems (Windows & Linux Server, VMware, backup, storage, etc.)
• Manage Inventory
• Oversee backup and disaster recovery processes, performing regular validation tests
• Ensure Datacenter uptime
• Manage DR Implementation
• Document infrastructure architecture designs, SOPs, and configurations thoroughly
• Build and maintain infrastructure automation scripts and templates (e.g., PowerShell, Infrastructure-as-Code)
• Manage vendor relationships and support contracts for infrastructure components
• Responsible for Datacenter Day to Day Operations
• Maintain and support the on-premises and remote datacenter environments

Requirements

• Comfortable balancing strategic planning with daily operational needs
• VMWare optimization and reliability
• Experience upgrading Active Directory / Forest On-Premises
• Technically confident and hands-on; leads by doing
• Experience supporting manufacturing or distributed business applications
• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO)
• Experienced with Migrations to Entra
• Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Group Policy
• Demonstrated ability to lead and execute infrastructure projects from start to finish
• Experience moving Active Directory to Entra AD
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent hands-on experience
• Monitoring and alerting tools (SCOM, PRTG, SolarWinds, etc.)
• Deep experience with Windows-based infrastructure, virtualization, and storage/backup
• Linux Server – multiple “flavors”
• Experience in hybrid cloud environments (Azure preferred)
• 10+ years of technical infrastructure experience with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or team lead capacity
• Experience with Entra AD / Entra
• Experience in mid-sized or multi-site enterprise environments
• VMware vSphere / ESXi, Hyper-V
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
• Experience with On Premises Active Directory
• Strong scripting and automation experience (e.g., PowerShell)
• Calm under pressure, with a pragmatic approach to high-stakes issues
• Patch management and configuration tools (SCCM, WSUS, Intune)
• Certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft Azure Administrator, ITIL, or equivalent
• Experience moving Microsoft services to Entra (ex, Cloud PKI)
• Storage platforms (SAN, NAS), backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, etc.)
