Description

The role has a direct impact on assuring the company is not exposed to regulatory risk and ensures all regulatory obligations are duly complied with.

Strategically, the job provides assurance on regulatory requirements to ALJM management, develops and monitors the compliance team, and creates succession plans within the department.

• Communicate all regulatory developments to stakeholders.
• Perform obligation analysis and quantify regulatory risk with stakeholders such as EAD and Legal.
• Monitor, track, and report compliance status in Assurance and CEC meetings.
• Conduct regulatory compliance follow‑up and create/improve regulatory frameworks to prevent violations and penalties.
• Support senior management in implementing ISO 19600 Compliance Management System.
• Develop interfaces and regulatory frameworks for integrated compliance risk management.
• Monitor external environment for regulatory developments and changes.
• Communicate regulatory changes to stakeholders using varied channels.
• Undertake compliance risk assessments, including identification, quantification, and advising on control implementation (RCAP).
• Develop, maintain, and update the Compliance Universe and obligations libraries (e.g., Imtithal list).
• Oversee development of compliance programs for each principal regulation.
• Follow up with stakeholders on open regulatory issues and provide support as needed.
• Participate in forums to discuss and escalate compliance issues.
• Manage and oversee the regulatory compliance training program for front‑line associates.
• Prepare technical articles for inclusion in communication campaigns.
• Monitor visits of Government officials, track notes, and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Monitor status of compliance with key regulations.
• Supervise the work of other regulatory compliance officers.
• Support development of software for managing compliance risk.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Law (Master preferred), 6–8 years of regulatory compliance experience, and at least two years of leadership experience. Required skills cover time management, personnel management, problem‑solving, and strong leadership qualities.

Fluency in English and Arabic is required; there are no special certifications or memberships listed.
