

Manages navigation, security and operational safety of six NSW commercial seaports.
The primary function of a Port Officer is to ensure a safe and secure port under the obligations stipulated in the Port Safety Operating Licence. This includes carrying out checks on navigational aids, escorting ships in and out of the harbour, participating in emergency response , completing security and environmental patrols and handling audit and inspection activities.

Traineeship is offered under the 1000 NSW Public Sector Apprentices and Trainees Program. By applying, candidates consent to their details being provided to Training Services NSW for consideration and processing.

The traineeship will involve you attending classes to obtain the following qualifications with an option to extend your training to Master <24m NC and MED 2 NC.
