Role
What you would be doing
  • Formulate good working relationships with customers and suppliers, communicating with the Senior Design Engineer frequently and keep them fully informed at all times. Taking ownership of meeting internal and external deadlines.
  • Supporting on-site manufacturing and product assembly teams to ensure quality, cost and delivery objectives are achieved.
  • Produce economic engineered solutions, considering all aspects from materials to manufacturability, whilst satisfying all customer and internal requirements. Liaise with suppliers on technical and engineering matters.
  • Conduct detailed design engineering for new projects, collaborating with other departments to ensure understanding of all customer/project requirements and to support the Proposals, Purchasing, Project Management, Quality and Production teams.
  • Operate CAD packages and design software, maintaining files and working environment in an orderly and safe fashion conforming to JDR procedures. Produce design calculations and reports in support of hardware designs.
