

Multidiscipline engineering and surveying firm delivering renewable energy, infrastructure, power delivery projects.
The intern will work with a senior certified planner to develop skills in reviewing and interpreting regulatory codes, ordinances, and comprehensive plans, as well as analyzing land features for development opportunities, constraints, and layout options. Responsibilities include preparing due‑diligence analyses, land‑development concepts, master development plans, and graphic illustrations using both digital and hand‑drawn formats, and refining design solutions alongside senior planners. The role also involves participating in project meetings with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies, editing technical plans and specifications, and visiting construction sites to gather information and support the senior project team.
Candidates must be pursuing a four‑year degree in Planning or a related field and possess strong freehand illustration and computer rendering abilities. Excellent written and oral communication skills, a positive attitude, willingness to learn, strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. A portfolio or work samples may be required for interview consideration.
Preferred experience includes proficiency with AutoCAD, Sketch‑Up, 3DS Max, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft Word, Excel, and GIS. Candidates who are working toward or have obtained AICP certification or sustainability credentials such as LEED or ENVISION are highly valued.
