The basic function of the Assistant Project Manager is to assist the Project Manager with administering, directing, and coordinating the functions of the field supervisory personnel of the operations division. The Assistant Project Manager reports to and is directly accountable to the Project Manager.
- Distribute drawing and design revisions, bulletins to the Project Manager, Superintendent, and all trades.
- Assist with development and implementation of standard operating procedures for overall project operations.
- Assist in the project closeout process.
- Act as company representative in negotiations with owners.
- Maintain project meeting minutes and distribute them.
- Report project progress to the Project Manager.
- Perform basic estimating, take‑offs, and solicit quotes.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent degree with four years of Project Engineer experience. Preferred candidates hold a degree specifically in construction management or civil engineering.
