The basic function of the Assistant Project Manager is to assist the Project Manager with administering, directing, and coordinating the functions of the field supervisory personnel of the operations division. The Assistant Project Manager reports to and is directly accountable to the Project Manager.
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent degree with four years of Project Engineer experience. Preferred candidates hold a degree specifically in construction management or civil engineering. Candidates must have at least two years of Project Engineer experience in construction management, with preferred experience of four or more years in construction management.
The position demands an understanding of industry practices and trends and strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
