In this visible role the Safety Engineer will partner with project management and field leadership, conduct inspections, lead investigations, deliver training, and act as a trusted safety resource to protect personnel and support successful project delivery.
- Partner with project management and field leadership to develop site‑specific safety plans.
- Conduct documented jobsite safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
- Lead incident investigations focused on prevention and continuous improvement.
- Deliver safety training, new‑hire orientations, and toolbox talks.
- Identify safety trends and implement proactive risk‑reduction strategies.
- Review subcontractor safety programs and participate in preconstruction meetings.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Track, analyze, and report safety metrics, including OSHA logs and required postings.
- Serve as a trusted safety liaison between field teams and leadership.
- Represent Wisconsin on the Pepper Safety Council.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in safety‑related disciplines or 5‑7 years of commercial construction safety experience, an OSHA 30‑Hour certification, strong communication skills, a solutions‑oriented mindset, and the physical ability to work on active sites, lift up to 50 pounds, and travel throughout Wisconsin.
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, EHS, safety engineering, or related field, or 5–7 years of commercial construction safety experience.
- OSHA 30‑Hour certification (required).
- Strong communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
- Practical, solutions‑oriented approach with sound judgment.
- Ability to work on active construction sites, including walking, climbing ladders, and navigating multi‑level structures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management software.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Wisconsin.
