The day‑to‑day duties include following all Johns Manville safety procedures, wearing required protective clothing and equipment, and completing training on JSAs and SOPs. Responsibilities also involve safely operating the overhead crane, preparing pallets, handling and labeling finished rolls, operating labeling equipment, and completing daily, housekeeping, and forklift checklists. Physical ability to perform essential job functions is required, with reasonable accommodations available.
Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to tolerate heat, and possess good vision, hearing, speaking, and finger‑dexterity skills. The ability to follow simple work plans, communicate effectively with co‑workers, and use basic computer applications is essential.
The base hourly rate for this position is $23.08, plus a $2 shift differential for 12‑hour night shifts. The role supports the core team at the Scottsboro, AL plant and is part of the Pay‑For‑Skills program, which offers structured pay increases and room for advancement.
