The Production Manager will provide leadership and direction to the product group in support of Marvin Window’s business objectives. They manage production goals, ensure effective utilization of resources and materials, and improve overall efficiency of operations. The manager facilitates strong communication and connection between all departments and resolves problems pertaining to people, production, and products.
The manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans and objectives related to production, quality, and safety. They directly manage department and area leadership, oversee production employees, and ensure departmental productivity and goal achievement. They motivate, challenge, and provide feedback to leaders and staff, addressing complaints and resolving issues that impact the department.
As the primary communicator, the manager shares project information, goals, status reports, business needs, and issues with the entire business team and relays results and concerns to senior management as needed. They also prepare and maintain the product group budget, reporting exceptions and variances.
Ideal candidates possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, and a detail‑oriented, organized approach with strong accuracy. They must be able to maintain confidentiality of personal information, have experience with lean manufacturing, ISO principles, and basic competence with manufacturing software, as well as strong communication and conflict‑resolution abilities.
A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, and candidates should have at least five years of successful supervisory and production management experience.
