Act as a technical liaison for strategic customers and consulting engineers, ensuring alignment on specifications and expectations.
Coach and develop engineering talent; deliver technical training across departments.
Consult with Plant and Field Sales Engineers in interpreting and defining new equipment applications.
Support the Quality Dept through assisting in troubleshooting problems during electrical testing and developing test procedures.
Guide engineering teams in interpreting complex customer requirements and translating them into manufacturable switchboard designs.
Complete all phases of the custom order engineering process to ensure accurate and timely completion of Customer Approval (CA) and Manufacturing Information (MI) drawings.
Interface with Quality/Warranty Department to ensure continued post-shipment customer support.
Coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products.
Adhere to all safety rules and procedures, including 5S requirements, and responsible for reporting unsafe conditions to the appropriate management or ESP/ELS representative as required.
Proactively participate on cross functional teams in support of implementing lean manufacturing strategies, including front end business process improvement.
Interpret detailed non-standard customer requirements and translate them, as closely as possible into previously established standards. Contact field sales and/or the end customer or Consulting Engineer as required to ensuring accurate interpretation of the intent of the specifications.
Interface with the Design Engineering dept as necessary for development of switchboard custom designs.

Demonstrated technical and application knowledge of switchboards
Minimum 2 years of experience processing data center orders.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Experience with Eaton systems: VISTA, Bid Manager, AS-400, ENOVIA & DMM
Proficient understanding of electricity
Minimum of 5 years of experience in application engineering of Low or Medium voltage Switchboard/Switchgear or Power distribution engineering.
Demonstrate clear understanding of the full breadth of product line offering, including complex wiring and design applications in order to provide exceptional solution selling support to field sales and/or channel partners.
