The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, wiring, and modifying medium- and high-voltage indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker compartments, power modules and related sub-assemblies according to specified guidelines. The role supports a creative manufacturing environment where professionals can reach their full potential.
Daily work involves interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, and supervisor instructions to execute established procedures. Technicians complete ISO, quality, and customer checklists, mount and install electrical equipment, perform wire operations, and regularly lift heavy copper components while reporting inventory shortages.
All assemblies are inspected for missing hardware and cleanliness, and technicians respond to change notices, customer-requested adjustments, and development needs. They also assist engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-initiated development work and train/co‑coach colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of industrial manufacturing experience, and proficiency with hand and air tools, power tools, step ladders, and cranes. Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication, analytical problem-solving skills, be able to work flexible hours and overtime, and must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship; only applicants within 50 miles of Greenwood, SC (military exempt) are considered, with no relocation benefits offered.
