Water Hygiene Technician

Overview

Monitor and maintain water systems, conduct Legionella control, and perform plumbing tasks.

Tasks

will be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals. -Undertake other water hygiene related tasks as required including Monitoring, Maintenance and Remediation works -Undertake routine monitoring and maintenance of building water systems as part of a Legionella Control Program in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG 274 -complete TMV Servicing, Inspection & Replacements -Complete inspections using a mobile handheld device and web based electronic log book system -Monitor inspections will involve temperature testing of water outlets, TMVs, inspection of cold water storage tanks and hot water storage vessels, water sample collection, showerhead disinfection, and logbook updating & auditing -Undertake maintenance tasks may include plumbing repairs, alterations and installation works associated domestic hot & cold water systems

Current Full UK Driver’s Licence 40 Hours Access NI Privacy Notice can be viewed at Previous experience in the maintenance, servicing and testing of Chemical Water Treatment services Must be able to pass a DBS check Demonstrate relevant experience in a similar role Work in a multi-site capacity therefore you must be prepared to travel throughout the region legionella monitoring. -Current Full UK Driver’s Licence -Previous experience in the maintenance, servicing and testing of Chemical Water Treatment services -Must be able to pass a DBS check -Demonstrate relevant experience in a similar role -Demonstrate working knowledge of the respective legislation and guidance material (HSC ACoP L8, HSG 274, Water Regulations) -City & Guilds or similar accredited Legionella control training -Work in a multi-site capacity therefore you must be prepared to travel throughout the region -Clean & Disinfections to Hot & Cold water systems -Demonstrate previous experience in related water system remediation/maintenance works
