Assistant Project Manager

Description

• Assist Project Managers with subcontractor coordination, safety documentation, job closeouts, and project reporting.
• Get project progress and updates from Highmark Job superintendent identify schedule conflicts, delays, or resource needs.
• Maintain organized project files, schedules, and daily updates.
• Create, manage, and adjust schedules for high-volume roofing and siding installations.
• Maintain thorough records of warranty claims, resolutions, and associated costs.
• Maintain organization while working on multiple construction projects at once.
• Perform detailed residential and commercial takeoffs for roofing, siding, and related exterior scopes using company-approved software and tools.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure alignment with estimates.
• Coordinate labor-only crews, ensuring availability, readiness, and timely deployment to job sites.
• Assist with proposal preparation by providing accurate quantities, labor estimates, and job notes.
• Receive, document, and prioritize warranty and service requests from clients, partners, and project managers.
• Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Work in conjunction with Highmark Job Superintendent to communicate daily with crews regarding job details, start times, materials readiness, and site conditions.
• Schedule service crews and follow up to ensure timely completion and quality control.

Requirements

• Able to work with a team.
• Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must pass a background check.
• Strong ability to read construction plans and perform accurate takeoffs.
• Proficiency with project management and estimating software (Builder Trend, Pro Core, outbuild, ETC…).
• Knowledge of roofing and siding systems, installation processes, and industry terminology.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Highly motivated and organized.
• Background in both residential and commercial exteriors (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience managing labor crews or subcontractor coordination (preferred).
• Experience in construction scheduling, coordination, or project support (exterior construction preferred).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
