Responsibilities include rebuilding Cat and Komatsu engines, maintaining equipment to the highest standards promptly, conducting performance and quality checks, performing preventative maintenance, repairs and overhauls, and promoting and adhering to the company’s safety program.
Candidates must have a full complement of hand tools, a personal reliable vehicle, and CSA‑approved steel‑toed boots with 6‑inch ankle support. Pre‑employment screening includes drug/alcohol testing, orientation, and fitness‑to‑work assessment.
Qualifications require a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician with Red Seal – Off‑Road or equivalent (or a 3rd‑year HDM apprentice in good standing), 5‑10 years of HET journeyperson experience, off‑road HDM experience, and experience with CAT E.T., S.I.S., and/or Komatsu components (CAT Scraper experience is beneficial). Ability to read hydraulic and electronic schematics and strong organization/cleanliness skills are essential.
The position is full‑time, permanent, with a 10+ hour day shift schedule (5 & 2) and overtime after 8 hrs/day or 44 hrs/week. The shop location is 9175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB.
