- Provide technical assistance and support to the Contracting Officer during construction.
- Arrange, attend, and facilitate weekly site meetings.
- Review contract plans, specifications, and requirements before work begins.
- Document issues and problems encountered with the construction contractor.
- Review contractor’s baseline and progress schedules.
- Draft project correspondence for NPS review and issuance.
- Inspect contractor work for progress, workmanship, quality, code and safety compliance.
- Deliver reports, evaluations, design work, and other deliverables to the CO.
- Process and track contractor RFIs, draft responses, and assist in resolution.

Benefits
The position is located on Alcatraz Island in San Francisco, CA, and offers a salary range of $80,000 to $95,000 depending on experience. Total compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package and living support, with the assignment running full‑time through October 2027 and part‑time thereafter until December 2027.
