- Independently contribute to the development of program strategy and defining clear go/no-go criteria for each phase of development.
- Document key team information, decisions, actions, key modifications to scope, resources, timelines, and milestones, and ensure project management systems are up to date.
- Guide project teams to proactively anticipate and identify challenges, and help define solutions.
- Collaborate with functional group leaders to ensure critical path activities are identified and prioritized to achieve program objectives and milestones.
- Help establish a reporting process for vendors to proactively inform of project burn rates.
- Actively track leading indicators of teams’ progress towards reaching major milestones and monitor performance versus plan (budget and timeline).
- Ensure appropriate coordination of CMC activities, including drug substance and drug product manufacturing as needed for the program.
- Coordinate program and report periodic updates to management.
- Maintain and communicate project timelines and budgets to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Development of comprehensive end-to-end program plans in a cross-functional environment
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives in Project Management to accelerate development timelines and phase transitions, incorporate strategic option analysis and risk management into project strategy/plans, and foster high-performance teams.

- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to actively maintain effective professional relationships the person a small company and with external parties with diplomacy and poise.

- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or related area with at least 10 years in the life science industry with at least 6 years relevant experience in project management.

- Proactive and analytical problem-solver capable of anticipating challenges and driving creative solutions in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with the principles of Earned Value Management and the ability to understand the person, scientific and clinical data.
- Ability to see the big picture and synthesize details to ensure program activities align with the company's short-term and long-term strategic vision.
