Assigned to the Fort Bragg Central Issue Facility, the Stock Clerk issues and receives Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment, updates clothing records using the Installation Support Module, inspects equipment for serviceability, and stocks shelves. The clerk also verifies and counts equipment during the annual inventory.
The work environment requires the use of personal protective equipment such as masks, safety vests, steel or composite shoes, gloves, hard hats, and eyewear in designated areas. Most duties are performed in a temperature‑controlled office, though occasional exposure to extreme cold or heat may occur.
Physical duties include operating standard office equipment and lifting a minimum of 45 pounds. Employees must be able to stand and walk for 6–8 hours daily and perform movements such as pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, pass background and drug screenings, and possess a valid REAL ID driver’s license. They must obtain and maintain a Common Access Card, NACI Tier 1 Public Trust, and provide proof of U.S. citizenship, while also having at least two years of supply‑operations experience.
