  • Assess and resolve landowner and land access issues
  • Negotiate agreements and positions with landowners, including state agencies which reflect fair and equitable practices and will lead resolution of Land issues and landowner claims
  • Work with knowledgeable and practice expert internal clients and affected parties such as landowners, landowner/industry associations and regulatory bodies in executing public awareness / consent programs, as well as resolve land-related issues.
  • Conducting project planning and project risk assessments on behalf of Land
  • Supervise and oversee the third-party contract land personnel
  • Act as an ambassador of TC Energy with external stakeholders with a focus on enhancing relationships with TC Energy landowners
  • Enhance stakeholder relationships to foster a solid foundation for the Land Advantage initiative

  • Leadership skills, promoting a positive influence on the work of others through demonstration of technical expertise and effective interpersonal skills.
  • A strong team player, self-motivated individual with good interpersonal, organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and strong networking skills.
  • Travel within the US is required approximately 40% of the time; and as such the candidate must be able to provide applicable documentation to this effect.
  • Ability to make decisions where only general policies and procedures are available requiring application of judgement and independent action.
  • Familiar with state and federal pipeline regulations and requirements
  • Experience in land and right of way acquisition in the pipeline industry
  • 5 years of combined applicable academic training, certification and related experience in the oil or natural gas pipeline industry
  • Experience in post construction land damages settlements
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Effective communication, writing and public speaking skills are essential.
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in a directly related discipline
  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and across the businesses.
  • Graduate in Business Administration, or Petroleum Land Management
