Commercial Construction Director of Preconstruction

Description

• Support business development, proposal responses, and project pursuit strategies
• Develop budgets, schedules, and procurement plans for ground-up and TI projects
• Implement best practices for cost control, forecasting, and market pricing
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders to establish scope and execution plans
• Manage estimating teams and oversee detailed cost estimates, takeoffs, value engineering, and bid packages
• Lead preconstruction strategy from concept through GMP

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Director of Preconstruction to lead all preconstruction efforts for ground-up and tenant improvement (TI) projects across commercial, institutional, and public works sectors. This leader will oversee estimating, budgeting, procurement strategy, and early-phase project planning while partnering closely with operations, executives, clients, and design teams.

• Extensive preconstruction experience in commercial construction
• Strong leadership, communication, and financial management skills
• Proven success with ground-up and/or TI projects
• Public works experience strongly preferred
