As a Project Planning Professional you will be supporting the Programme Delivery Leads and Project Controls team to deliver the project/portfolio requirements ensuring that the overall project outputs meet these requirements - our projects are varied in their nature, supporting the Core Production Delivery Business Units to acheive inital capability, rate capacity and resilience through product life cycle; Supporting the development and maintenance of control account schedules to support the delivery of Projects or Programmes across the site Consolidating P6 planning data, providing management information, analysis and reporting to the management team as required. Developing and supporting the ongoing maintenance of internal and external deliverables to the Submarines business. Ensure that best practice planning principles are used to create and maintain schedules to a high standard to ensure quality and credibility.
- Lead planning activities for multiple submarine projects within the Core Production Site Capability team.
- Collaborate with Rolls-Royce engineering teams and external customer stakeholders at all levels.
- Support Programme Delivery Leads and Project Controls team to meet project and portfolio requirements.
- Develop and maintain control account schedules and consolidate Primavera P6 planning data.
- Provide management information, analysis, and reporting for project performance.
- Ensure schedules follow best‑practice planning principles for quality and credibility.

Project Planning experience within an Integrated Project Team environment. Primavera P6 experience including resource management and analysis, activity coding, global changes, and baselining. Strong Project Management experience, with an understanding of the project lifecycle, resource and cost management, planning and programming. Strong Stakeholder Management experience capable influencing and negotiating within a complex organisation.
For more than 60 years Rolls-Royce Submarines has designed, supplied and supported the nuclear propulsion plant, providing power for all UK Royal Navy nuclear submarines. To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines an individual must hold a Security Check clearance. We will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t already have it. Due to the nature of work we conduct, we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national.
- Required: experience in project planning within integrated project teams and strong Primavera P6 skills.
- Required: solid project management knowledge of lifecycle, resource, cost, planning and programming.
- Required: strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation abilities.
- Must hold or obtain a UK Security Check clearance; UK nationality or MoD‑approved dual nationality required.
