Reviews and recommends the development of cost estimate and schedules related to the project(s) assigned to him for Management endorsement/approval.
Participates, as directed by the management, in the selection of the contractors and other work/service providers related to the projects assigned to him or as directed by the management. Conducts technical evaluation of shipyards and bids submitted, with particular emphasis on their pre-qualification, technical bid evaluation. Submit a tender technical evaluation report for acceptance.
Recommends to the Manager, Marine Projects the best practice and material/equipment quality concerning the project(s) under his assignment.
Conducts regular visits to the shipyards during the construction of the vessels to monitor the compliance with technical specification, tender documents and to monitor work progress.
Ensures proper coordination between ADNOC Logistics & Services and all work/service providers, contractors and other agencies involved related to the project(s) under his assignment to ensure quality, HSE matters, cost and progress and maintained.
Reviews the documents and reports mentioned above and make sure they are in order prior to submission to Manager, Marine Projects (OMS).
Responsible for achieving the Project objectives and key performance indicators established for Projects.
Monitors the implementation of the total budget, schedules and quality at various stages of the related project(s) execution periods to ensure adherence to the overall approved plan.
Ensures that the contracted Ship Builder(s), Consultant(s) and all other Work/Service Providers related to the project(s) assigned to him, do submit the documents and reports, including progress and close-out reports required by the contract(s) are timely received.
Leads, directs, supervises and controls the Project(s) Management Team(s) of the assigned projects and participates in the verification of the bidders list, pre-qualification evaluation, tender technical evaluation, development of tender inquiries, evaluation of design consultants and any other project(s) related technical services provider(s).
Reviews, appraises and reports the results, on the performance of the ship builders, contractors, consultants and any service/work providers related to the project(s) assigned to him.
Functions as the project manager for the assigned ship(s) project(s) design and construction covering all phases from inception to completion, also to assist, as required, the assigned ADNOC Logistics & Services delegate(s) to the ship(s) delivery ceremony.
Visit supplier’s facilities to ensure their ability to provide ADNOC Logistics & Services and the end user with the services required and back up support.
Coordinates the preparation of the Tender Documentation and Contract Documentation, Reviews and Analysis Change Requests, Variations, Claims and endorses recommendations to the Management for settlement.
Conducts and Regular Meetings with the Ship Builders, Consultants and other Service/Work Providers related to the project(s) assigned to him as per the contracted and approved meeting schedules.
At the end of the Project once all objective, goals are achieved and upon completion of all administrative and when contractual obligation are met. Prepare Project closeout report. The report to include Executive Summary, Status of additional cost /credits, demobilization of Project management team , lesson learned, remaining work and planning for completion, and yard performance.
Performs Certification of Design Consultants, Ship Builders and any other related Service/Work Providers invoices including Milestone Certificates and endorsement of Provisional and Final Acceptance Certification.
Ensures the quality of material/equipment and the ultimate product as per the requirements of the shipbuilding contract(s) documents.
Prepare Monthly Progress Report, to include, project summary status, project metrics, planed accomplished status, milestone achieved, Matters effecting Progress and Delivery schedule, Agreed changes, Cost Vs the Budget status , Project issues status and matter of disputes if any.
Ensures the timely and complete preparation and implementation of all design details and specifications for the projects assigned to him in order to achieve ADNOC Logistics & Services agreed objectives.
Prepare Scope of Service /Enquiries, for the selection of design consultants, management assistance and shipyards.
Manages, directs. Supervises and controls, in relation to the project(s) assigned to him, the quality and progress of work by all related work providers, and during course of events, he should be proactive to identify the bottlenecks and recommend the corrective actions to ensure smooth project operation and work actively to eliminate any deviations that may affect adversely the budgeted cost and time for the project(s).
Leads and motivates the assigned/specified Project(s) Management Team(s) ensuring effective implementation of the related project(s) plans and objectives.
Prepare the Projects Project Charter which includes the provided documents with the necessary approvals.
Cooperates and Coordinates with others in the Projects Department for the preparation of the Annual Overall Work Programmed and the Projects Plan.
Conducts ad-hoc meetings with the parties mentioned above, as and when necessary and after consultation, as necessary, with the Manager, Marine Projects (OMS).

Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Management discipline. Project Management Professional (PMP certified).
Professional Skills: Planning and Management skills, effective oral and written Arabic/English languages, Communication and Administration skills. Knowledge of Project Management, concepts and principle.
5 to10 years of experience in Project Management . (added advantage with Marine Engineer, Senior Officer or Chief Engineer, Ship’s Superintendent or Ex IACS member Classification Society Surveyor experience).
Established organization for the project(s) assigned to him, including design and work site team designations, work-hours estimates, work-hours distribution and mobilization/demobilization.
