We are seeking a chartered civil engineer who is passionate about improving quality of life through city‑shaping projects that transform urban mobility. The successful candidate will have a strong engineering background, extensive experience in pavement design across flexible and rigid types, and a track record of delivering major projects.
The role requires expertise in pavement evaluation, materials, and the use of industry‑standard software such as the Austroads Guide, CIRCLY, FPD2, PTL2 and RPD, as well as strong client‑focus, leadership, and communication skills.
- 10+ years Australian experience in flexible and rigid pavement design for highways, ports, airports, and developments
- Relevant engineering degree or professional accreditation; postgraduate qualifications advantageous
- Proficiency with Austroads Guide to Pavement Technology and specialist software (CIRCLY, FPD2, PTL2, RPD)
- Experience with AutoCAD, FAARFIELD, EverFE and other design tools preferred
- Knowledge of State Road Authority technical specifications
- Ability to lead small teams, influence and delegate effectively
- Strong client‑focused approach with excellent presentation and communication skills
- Experience managing interdisciplinary design interfaces and whole‑of‑life cost analysis or optioneering
- Involvement in technical societies and demonstration of commercial and delivery acumen
- Proven self‑management with capability to work independently and produce high‑quality drawings, reports, and fee proposals
